The International Foundation Year in Humanities, Law and Social Science prepares you for an undergraduate degree at Durham City. This programme lasts for three terms.

Throughout your studies at Durham University you will have lots of opportunities to meet employers, organise work experience and develop your career skills. 

At Queen’s Campus, the International Study Centre will give you all the support you need. When you successfully progress to Durham City you can take full advantage of the University’s wider career services at the Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre. Services include Career Fairs, a careers advisor, and help finding internships.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

IGCSE / GCSE / O-Level: 5 passes at A-C in relevant subjects (excluding native language). New grades 9 - 4 in English and Maths

IB Diploma Programme: 26 points (IB Certificate accepted, 26 points) (Subject pass level is 3)

A levels: 84 UCAS points (formerly 240) no E grades at A level counted towards UCAS points total, combinations of A and AS levels accepted

24 UCAS points from AS only (native language accepted) (formerly 80 UCAS points)
